Shawn and Shylynn met on the internet and since they met in person, they became inseparable. After two years of dating, Shylynn took a trip with Shawn's family to Seattle, WA. They went to Shawn's family cabin by the lake. He brought the group to a big boulder that overlooked the lake, he got down on one knee and asked Shylynn for her hand! From there, the planning began!
On June 16th, I headed up to Rugged Horizons wedding venue to capture the wedding of Shawn and Shylynn! The whole morning, there was rain even driving up and while taking the detail shots...bleh. Somehow, when it came time for the ceremony, the rain stopped and it was beautiful overcast goodness. It was like the rain stopped just for Shylynn and Shawn's ceremony.
Please scroll and enjoy previews, some words from the bride and groom, and a sweet, unexpected surprise at the end!
"Our family helped out a lot on making our own centerpieces and other little details and as much as it saves money it was a little hectic but completely worth it." - Shylynn
"I found my dress at Rococo Bridal in Missoula, MT. When I first tried it on, I initially didn’t want it because I never wanted something big and poofy. I also had another dress stuck in my head, but when I went home I just couldn’t stop thinking about this one poofy dress. I just had to go try it on again and when I did, I knew it was the one." - Shylynn
"Our favorite moment was when we first saw each other when I walked down the aisle because we hadn’t seen each other the previous night and all morning."
"Truly blessed to spend forever with this amazing person! The saying " when you know, you know " was never a thought until I met you, and it couldn't be more true! And now knowing we are starting our own little family makes it all even more exciting! So excited to meet our little peanut! We are expecting!"
Advice from the bride and groom:
"Don’t focus on the little things. You need to remember that this day isn’t about everyone else even if it may seem like it."
How was your experience working with me:
"We loved working with you! The pictures we have seen so far are everything and so much more than we could have ever wanted. You’re upbeat and hardworking attitude will win over anyone any day."
